Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request under its own systems. We do not keep or log those search terms on our side.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email message when needed to answer it. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may receive basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates and times
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type and version
- Referring website, when available
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that usage data for reporting. A browser can block cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing search requests to the chosen partner
- Finding and repairing technical problems
- Maintaining site speed and availability
- Measuring which pages are useful
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Reynolds County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes directions to the Reynolds County Sheriff, the Circuit Clerk, the Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Division, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. The official county directory remains the source for local departments. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or third-party criminal profile. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention rules, and disclosure practices apply to information entered there. We do not control those practices. Review the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to court, sheriff, state agency, legal aid, and partner websites. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may measure activity across websites for ad selection. That processing occurs on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure performance and traffic
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard safeguards for collected data. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, so these measures reduce risk but cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such data is identified, it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights over personal data. Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, governs access to records held by public bodies, including the Reynolds County offices discussed here, but it does not turn this private site into a government custodian. Visitors may:
- Request deletion of personal data, when applicable
- Ask what personal information is held
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Opt out of processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A new version becomes available here with its updated effective date.
